Oh uh... SO I'm going to try and hit the main parts...
My best friend 2yrs trusts me and he I guess started to like me. We started hanging out more over the summer and we got close. We know everything about each other and he trusted me with a lot of things. I was always pretty like standoffish or I'd talk with him, but I wouldn't trust him fully like he did me. SO here is where the problem begins. I'm going to college across the ****ry, he's staying in-state. I already know he's doesn't want a relationship so...
I told him I didn't want to hook up anymore. Immediately, he started dating... I'm guessing its because of what I said? Like we messed around a little but we've never had sex or oral or like gone to far. He knows my stance on it.
I told him to delete my number. Didn't want anything to do with him. I usually let go of guys easy, I've done with someone I knew longer than him. RESULT: He was p*ssed, didn't talk to me for a month. He did, but not normally like we used to.
Then I went to school. We had stupid little fights. I started acting different. I was going through the whole "OMG, I can't gt him out my head. I think I love him" thing and yea... if you haven't noticed, I'm so not the type. I sent him emails, we always "talked" or fight etc for like 2 weeks
Then I just cut him off because I felt like I was calling him too much and I was just like don't get mad I'm not cutting you out of my life, I'm just trying to move on without dragging you along in the process.
So like 3-4 weeks later I asked for his address online, he gave it to me, I didn't respond. Every time I message him or something he always responds and he's nice about. (Hes not the type) Usually when a friend that's a girl likes him he just ignores them completely. Meaning?
So I asked him to call me when he isn't busy and he hasn't. I kinda feel like he's avoiding it because he doesn't want to add drama or fight again. & his bday is in like 2 days so... Any ideas?
& although I think I'm finally moving on. I like, I'm about to start school so I'm like ready to party and I'm going to date other guys but I wanna be friends with him. I am never friends with guys I messed with. Like we never dated, partially because of him and lately because of me and screwing him over went it came to trust and just being there for him.
I got him a gift and he knows I did. Should I send it? Just text him AND send it to someone else? Try and send it so it makes his b day?
What do you think, as a guy, when you hear "I don't wanna hook up with you anymore?"
Why is he so nice me? Like that's not how he usually is normally. He's like that playful sarcastic... Is he over it? Does he want to be over it but not because we were so close? Or is he just being nice?
I dunno, he sounds kinda like me. When someone is mean to me I don't necessarily get hostile, I try and be nice, but I'm really distant. In fact, sounds EXACTLY like that. I think it's a defense mechanism.
