So, I'm thinking of getting my boyfriend of year an iPod for his birthday. He likes to run and work out with music, but his mp3 player is so old it's bulky and he doesn't have the cable to update his music. I was going to give him some music to put on it as well.
I'd really like to personalize it with an engraving, but am not sure what to put on it. If he were a Beatles fan I'd put "8 days a week" from the song implying that "I love you 8 days a week." but he's not a beatles fan.
More country or metal (odd, I know). Anyone have any suggestions - even just places to look for cool quotes.
Personally I think engraving an iPod that will eventually become out dated and break is a bad move, fair enough get him an iPod if that's what you want but if you want a keepsake then engrave a ring (doesn't have to be an expensive one) or a watch, something that isn't a fad.
Make it personal. You said you want to personalize it yet your looking for others words. You know him better than anyone here, you can make it personal. What do you love about him, what comes to mind when you hear his name, what do you adore about him. Is he funny, caring, a leader, are his eyes sexy, does he make you feel complete, etc. Say what you mean, it should come from the heart not someone else. It will mean something to you both if it comes from you and not a song. If you think it'll sound stupid, don't think that way! I'm sure he'll appreciate the gesture, and even like it if you say what you feel when you think of him. And he'll see it every time he runs :) You'll always be on his mind :D
