Does long distance make a girl not want to get serious?

I agree with Anonymous It makes it so that the relationship isn't based on sex. So that it's more then just lust. If it works out without sex then you know "something good" can come from it.

No in fact I think it helps you get into a more serious relationship. I have a bf, Danny, and he lives about 16 hours away from me in NY. We both have gotten closer over the years despite the fact that it seems every year I more farther away. This past summer Danny asked me to marry him and of course we're going too. I like the fact that we lived farther away from each other because when we started out we were just friends talking about where we lived. Then it seemed that the farther I got the closer we grew. Distance is not a factor in love. If you want something good to come from it make it happen.

it depends on how far away, could you visit her in a weekend, could she? if it involves a plane ticket then I would prob just try and remain friends with whatever benefits you all have, but I would deff keep in touch and if in the future I was closer or vise versa, then I would agree to a relationship. but if you can make the trip in a car in one weekend than I would do long distance..hope that helps..

The only way I could convince myself to par take in such a relationship is if it was already serious. I wouldn't enter a relationship knowing I was going to be moving away. I think physical aspects make up half of what constitutes a relationship. However that's just me.

This will test the relationship and naturally no one would want to get serious until the relationship proves it can pass the test, that distance won't wreck it.
