You need to open up and put yourself out there. Too many people are afraid of rejection or reticule. They let their emotions control their lives and never really live.

Fear, insecurity, sadness, doubt, anger, are all simply emotions, emotions that with a little practice can be controlled and mastered. Putting allot of emphasis on your fears and insecurity fuel your emotions to the point where they control you; the reverse of what you are after.

Your scared. You think it is you and you have identified yourself with it; your not. You have fear inside you, it covers who you are, but you are not afraid. You need to awaken your consciousness. There is a difference between feeling your emotions and acting them out.

Once you've awoken your consciousness you need to shift it. Get to a point where you go from "I am scared" to "there is fear in me". Fear is not you; it's merely an object protecting you. It can be manipulated.

You can probably google “emotional mastery” and find a better explanation then I can give you. I’m not a physiologist; I'm just someone who has taught myself how to manipulate my own emotions to work with, rather then against me.

You should want to better yourself for you, not your boyfriend. The more you offer yourself the more you can offer your partner.

MY opinion, not yours.
Cheers.

Relationships are risks. If you like him and don't want him to leave, you should open up to him a little. Tell him how you feel about being shy.. the obstacles you go through while being shy.. how hard you're trying to open up to him.
If that's not enough for him then f*** it, move on. If that's the case then he may not be the right person for you.
