I was dating a girl for 9 months. We are taking a break from dating. Meaning we are seeing other people. We are still best friends & I even think we love each other. She was married early on and now is divorced, she says that she wants to explore & socialize since she never had an opportunity to do so in the past because of the early marriage & kids.
We see each other very often & have drinks on my deck & she keeps telling me with respect to us that she is saving the best for last. What should I think when she says that?
Isn't she flirting with danger, because if she loves me then she is at-risk of losing me to some other lady. Is this just a risk she is willing to take?

She knows herself and knows that she's not ready for commitment again at this time of her life. So she's trying to spare you any pain she might cause if you were to get in a relationship now.

She thinks she's come up with a line to stall you and string you along; she wants you to presume you're the "best" and that she'll return to you eventually.

But the truth is, if SHE thought you were the "best" she would be trying to hang on to you.

So she likes you around when her other options are not available, but she thinks she wants something other than you. When she finds it, she won't hang with you as your "best friend" anymore. If she doesn't find it, she just might "settle" for you however.

What would you mean if the situation was reversed? I know that I'd be thinking I want to string this girl along and play the field with other girls for as long as I can. That might just be me, though.

Advice: How To Be The Perfect Girlfriend
Does it ever annoy you that you're single?
random-ren asked 19 days ago

Yes, most of the time! I really wish I had a boyfriend/girlfriend!

A little, because I feel left out.

Not really...

Nope! I have too much fun being single!

What's there to be annoyed about?

What is your favorite outfit for a night out with friends?
Jeans and a super cute baby doll tee, I'll usually wear like converses or something.
I like to keep it simple and comfortable.

How do you style your hair and do your make-up?
I straighten my hair, and my make up is very natural. Light brown eye shadow, but sometimes I use a little more, and sometimes I don't wear any at all.
But black mascara and eyeliner is ALWAYS a must have.

Do I have style?
