So, What is the most romantic thing someone has done for you?
This can be either someone who you have been with for a while, or how someone asked you out the first time, or anything of the nature. So, how has that special someone swept you off of your feet and amazed you with their romantics?
I was on the phone with my boyfriend one very late night, and I was feeling a little sad, I didn't quite know why. He asked me if I was alright, and I said it's no big deal, I'd probably feel better in the morning. We hung up, but I couldn't sleep, so I read a book. After an hour or so someone knocked on my window - my boyfriend had trudged through the snow on side of the motorway 4 miles to come over and comfort me. It was 5 degrees and pitch dark outside!
We're not together anymore, but we're still good friends, and sometimes I remind him of that time. He just rolls his eyes and is like "Oh come on, that was nothing, you know I'd do it again for you if you should ever feel sad". That always makes me sentimental, and it always makes him roll his eyes even more.
When I moved from California to Texas my ex boyfriend took me to the movies on my last night with him. After the movie was over we met up with some of his friends and we supposedly blew them off, he took me to jack's (my fav place) and then he blind folded me, he drove me to a park and his friends had set up a picnic for us. It was in the middle of the night so we were alone. I think that is the best =]
My current boyfriend is wonderful and he does a lot of things that I consider romantic. I know most of these are going to sound really dumb, but for me- it's the little things that count. About a month ago, I was kind of upset with my boyfriend just because we hadn't really seen each other enough lately- it wasn't anything serious, I was just stressed and so was he. So, I usually have to take the train to school (I go to grad school in Boston), but I was walking out of class the day after we had a little tiff and he was waiting in his car for me. He brought me back to his house where he had already made my favorite sandwich which he had waiting for me. He also made me cupcakes (haha- my fav treat) and bought be orangina (my fav drink). After we were done, he brought me in the other room where he had three crossword puzzles laying out. I know, I'm a dork, but I love crosswords:) It was just really cute and much better than the usual I'm sorry flowers that most guys give.
Awww. I don't think that was dumb at all. He did exactly what he should have, it was personal, and fit you well. Do you think that it was effective because he tried so hard, because he was sensitive to your desires and wants, or because he means a lot to you? All three? - 5 months ago

I think because it was so personal and he tried so hard to fix things. I just feel lucky, because I look at some of my friends' relationships and their boyfriends would never do something like that. My best friend is dating my boyfriend's best friend (haha- not even going to get into it) and he NEVER did anything like that for her. In fact, the first time they fought- he actually turned his back to her because he didn't want to fight. - 5 months ago
Well, I guess it could. I was looking for something more meaningful, but if it was important to you, then I guess it is romantic. It all depends on the eye of the beholder. - 5 months ago
I really can't remember! I have waited on everyone for so long (kids) and have never had a real relationship for a long time, and the girls I try to get close to have the ME-ME's ( always for them- give me-give me) so I can't remember a romantic time.
Yeah, guys rarely receive the romance. Sadly. - 5 months ago
Question Asker
Well, we definitely are at a disadvantage, perhaps, if it were guy oriented, then the question could read "what is the most seductive thing done to you? " - 5 months ago
