this may seem a bit long but its the only way I can try to help you understand and answer my question. was with my ex who was my first love for a bit more than a year. unfortunately I had a problem with cannabis where at the end it got too much. I lied about how much a bought and when I came clean she was devastated. we tried for two months but it wasn't the same. stupidly I called it off thinking that after a few weeks we might try again. 4 weeks later she's had sex and is going out with the rebound, who did more drug than I ever did and ended up treating her badly as he cheated on her twice. meanwhile I haven't smoked cannabis in nearly a year and now go to the gym to keep fit. a week ago she split up with the rebound guy and is now with her new boyfriend. I still have feelings for her and I think I do still love her but I don't know if she's cold hearted because of what I did or is just confused. so the question is should I just forget about her or should I try my hardest to get back with her and this time not make any mistakes?
First love is a botch and always haunts you. Honestly? She was your VERY FIRST there are SO MANY more out there mister! If you know you can treat a girl better than that rebound guy, go do it! Don't beat around the same bush twice asking for another slap to the face. You made mistakes in that relationship? Go find another and make it better! Relationships are all about the test drive for the later *hopeful* long run in life.
I think you should try to get her back. Hey if you still love her and you haven't smoked for nearly a year then you must really love her. I'm pretty sure she will understand. Treat her like she should be treated and do your best to be there for her.
