Okay so my ex dumped me because I didn't give him his space I guess. We went out for about 2 years. He said he still loves me he just isn't in love with me anymore. But the fact is he got a girlfriend right after he broke it off with me. I get so angry sometimes I don't even want to talk to him. But yet a part of me wants to be his friend in hopes that they won't work out. Is it bad to go back to him? And one more thing I need time to heal and I told him that,so I don't text or call him for a couples days and he texts me and I don't text back. He says it like I'm ignoring him. Is this the wrong thing to do? Should I just talk to him threw texting as friends? Or should I break it off completely. My friends and family think that he's trying to use my as his safety net. If it don't work out with her. He always have me? Are these things normal?

Listen up, he had this girl all lined up before he broke it off with you. A guy who needs space doesn't hook up with another girlfriend right after breaking up with one. His excuse is crap.

He's a monkey. Monkeys won't let go of one branch until they have a grip on another. He grabbed this other girl before he let you go. Now he's trying to make sure that the other branch (you) is still there to grab in case the one he has now breaks. Don't fall for this. Your friends and family are right.

Yep you're the safety net. If shit hits the fan then he'll always have you to clean it up. Break it off completely, who gets dumped and stays right there to get back with him? Do you have any self worth. You call the shots, you don't wait on people, people wait on you. Your voice mail should be full with bunches of guys calling instead of his being filled up with your voice. Why would you want to get with a guy who dropped you effortlessly like crumbs falling off a cookie and then he gets someone else immediately after. That's not called "you didn't give me my space" that's called "I dumped you for someone else. " He basically was driving in a car with you, stopped in the middle of the street and said,"get the f*** out of my car. " Then after you shut the door he pulls up the next few feet and says, "get in baby" to the next girl. It sad to say and I know you liked the guy, but you got played and you're still getting played even after he dumped you! That's like me getting turned down for a job after a job interview but I still come back everyday anyways. They would look at me like,"You didn't get the job why the hell do you keep coming back here. " Isn't that retarded? Yeah, well that's what this looks like.
