Jealousy, if he truly have only friendship feeling with you then I think he mean if you have a boyfriend you will have less then with him which what he mean by "you chose him". Not to be rude by it's kind of like when you have a partner your dog get upset, that kind of way I think. But it could mean he's jealous because he have feeling for you.

A day at the beach or pool , then a casual place for dinner, then for a walk on the beach to look at the stars. Then the hot tub back at my place. I wear a little summer dress and you wear ripped jeans and a nice shirt. Falling asleep talking and watching a movie.
