Do I have a chance?

I think a lot of us have feelings for the best friend. I once did too but like most of us we wait too long to have said something. I liked my bestfriend, he treated me right and was there for me many nights. I had feelings I wrote about it on my myspace page but I waited till the morning he was leaving the state for good. I don't talk to him like I did when he was in the state with me. But I think he had feelings too. I passed out watching him get on his flight and missed mine 3 hours later. So just tell him. Those true best friends will be there even if he has no feelings past friendship with you. He will just kindly tell you. Once he knows how you feel and if he fels that way too he won't be with his girlfriend. So be ready for it to go either way.

This sounds exactly like my story. I fell inlove with my bestfriend of 4 years. He also had a girl that he was seeing, except they actually saw each other in person but he never spoke of her to me. I had loved him for 1 and a half years before I told him. When I told him at the first week was weird. I think he was just shocked and he said that we could never be more than just friends. Then a week later I noticed him calling and messaging me a lot more. Then I noticed that he was spending time with me, that he would normally be spending with his girlfriend. Then about another week after that he told me that she had become jealous of all the time he was spending with me and she asked him to choose and he chose me. Then for the next few months we just continued on with innocent flirting. After that he finally asked me out and we are still together now and have been for the past 1year and 3 months. Every now and then you now what he told me, if I should have told him sooner because once I told him he realized he had feelings for me too.
My advise to you is tell him, I was afraid but it worked out perfect in the end. Like unperfect said above. If he is a real friend this won't change things for the worse.

Girl you need to tell him how you feel. ASAP and see how he responds. If he is your best friend he won't stop being it.
