I have been dating my gorgeous girlfriend for a good while now. Although she's always had very little (like a literally minute) or nothing to talk about. I'm aware women are normally the ones who talk the most (not that I'm a big chatter box) but I really try to engage a conversation with her but she doesn't have much to say. I can normally only get how her day was, how her classes are, and how's her family is out of her. She always says she has nothing to talk about. Is there something wrong? What can I do for her to talk to me, in an actual long conversation? I'm not angry or anything at her I just want her to engage with me about her day. (She never has talked a lot also.)(And I really do try almost every topic to spark a conversation.)
No offense intended, but maybe your girlfriend just doesn't have a lot to talk about. She could just be a very quiet person, not an extreme personality. I mean, you guys said you were dating for a good amount of time, so it's not nerves or her not being comfortable with you. I seriously think it's just that she falls under the category of a boring personality. Now whether this suits yours or not, that's up to you, but to me she just sounds very monotonous
I was just wondering if maybe you could find something like a new activity, what ever takes your fancy, for you two to do together. Not only could this spark up new conversations it may also intensify your bond.
I would suggest you confide in her that the lack of conversation is worrying you although I am not sure whether you think this would work if she is not a big talker. If she really cares about you and you address the situation in a very sensitive way or simply make suggestions, she may start to open up more.
She may just be shy. Or, there might not be the necessary connection between the two of you to spark those kinds of conversations. Only you and her can figure that out.
