I am a single woman aged 34. I have been single now for 4 and a half years, and no sex either :O. have not had many propositions in that time, due to work/study etc, but now I am finding I am being propositioned by a 17 year old boy, how on earth do I deal with this? And how do I meet a decent man in my own age group?

It depends what you mean by a decent man and how fussy you are. The 17 year old will probably present complications and in your position I would keep well clear of it if you are 34 as it will leave you open to ridicule, and you are not going to marry the 17 year old. If you want casual sex that surely cannot be difficult - in a city at least. If you want a lasting relationship and find it difficult to meet people, try an introduction agency. How much work/study do you really need to do? Most people 'study' when they're younger than you. You should try to get married soon if you want to have kids. Time's running out. For marriage, of course, you will need a decent man - i.e. one with a good income. Forget about working for a while. A good introduction agency is probably the best option.

Wait till he turns 18 then have some fun. It won't be a long term thing but like brit-love-2 pointed out it might be rare. The problem with men your age is they are going to have much more baggage. (Kids, ex-wives, ex-girlfriends, etc.). Use this to get back in the game and then once your confidence is up start looking for men your own age.

I'd pass on the 17 year old but it's certainly flattering. And 30 is the new 20, right? So, it's not that surprising for a teenager to be interested.

If you haven't done so yet, join a gym, take hobby classes, walk your dog to a dog park, learn to surf, hike, sky dive, etc. try online dating, go to baseball games - go places that guys are likely to be. Guys with jobs, their own house and the maturity to treat you the way you deserve to be treated.

Good luck!

If you're just trying to turn him down, that should be easy. Tell him he's too young for you and stick to that. If you're interested, I don't know, make sure it's legal in your state and give it a shot. Why not? I wouldn't be expecting anything more than a nice romp, but it seems you'd have a decent shot of getting that.

i might be young but take a chance with the 17 year old. wait until he's 18 and out of his parents house and then start to talk to him cause women over 30 (no offense) don't get a chance like that. that's a one in a life time chance.TAKE IT

Does it ever annoy you that you're single?
random-ren asked 3 days ago

Yes, most of the time! I really wish I had a boyfriend/girlfriend!

A little, because I feel left out.

Not really...

Nope! I have too much fun being single!

What's there to be annoyed about?

Describe your ideal first date; Where do you go? What do you wear? How does the date end?
My ideal first date would be to the movies and then somewhere to eat if we're hungry. I'm the type of girl that likes to go to like Wendy's or somewhere like that after a movie. I would wear something cute of course (its a 1st date!!) but yeah... and the date would end but maybe a SMALL KISS!! nothing big and then we go out on more dates! (if we liked the 1st one!) :]

Afterwards..what will your date know about you?
What will my date need to know about me?? Well... I AM a virgin and I don't like to rush into things! I like guys thay are caring for their girl and don't push them into doing anything! So yeah nothing I'm going to hide or anything!

Would you date me?
