I was raised not to show feelings and be a man about everything. I was raised as the oldest sibling and a boy to so I have the same problem. I would just try and talk to him about it. Also he doesn't know how to respond when he says "oh" . I've been in the same situation. you should ask him to explain what he means by "oh" because its a filler for almost everything trust me I did it.

You just have to ask him why he will not talk about his feelings, sometimes that will lead into it or ask him about his childhood. But make sure he knows that he can trust you. That's difficult. Most guys were raised with the whole "REAL MEN DON"T CRY" thing. It took a while for me to get my boyfriend to show emotion. Talk to him. Be honest and tell him how that makes you feel. Ask him the reason why he doesn't show his emotions. Maybe he has a valid reason and you and him can work it out from there.
