yesterday during gym, this shy guy that I think is pretty hot started to talk to me. when this other girl started to join our conversation, he seemed annoyed. when she left, I asked him if he wanted her to leave. and he said yes. I asked him if he wanted me to leave, he said no. after gym, it was time to go home. he walked with me all the way upstairs and even to my bus. and before yesterday, I notice that whenever we see each other in the hall, he always walks next to me. are these signs that he likes me? should I ask him if he would want to be my date for the dance next week?
I sure think those are signs he likes you somewhat. He clearly wants to talk to you and only you, and spend time with you. (Typical guy-likes-girl at least somewhat behavior)
I might ask him if he's going to the dance. Depending on his answer you'll likely have a really good shot at casually asking him to the dance.
You like this boy? It seems to me that he's definitely showing interest in you. I would say, yeah, go for it. What have you got to lose? Worst thing? You make a new friend. Nothing wrong with that. A dance date would give you lots of one on one time to get to know each other and see what kind of chemistry you two have. Go for it!
