I feel your pain, brother.
When your relationship becomes an obsession, male or female, that says a lot, or rather, about how little you have going on in your life. I still remember when my best friend of 5 years dissed me one time to hang out with his girlfriend, but tried to lie to me about why he couldn't hang out with me that night. I have no problem with my friends having girlfriends, but when you diss me who has been your friend for years for a girl you just started dating for less 6 months, it shows you have no loyalty. So I cut off all ties with him. I can't be friends with someone that would lie to me over something as trivial as a female. That's some bitch ass behavior.
You have to know what you want from you friends. If they are into their women, that's fine, but make sure they still remain a loyal friend. I have no problem dropping people from my life, men or women, so it's pretty straightfoward with me.
And if your meaning of love is being obsessed with a girl, consider yourself lucky you've never been in love. To me when a person obsesses on something it is because they are trying to fill a void in their lives. So guys and girls that obsess over their significant others just show how lonely they are and they have nothing esle important going on in their lives.
