Okay. sometimes I think guys need to come with a translator. this guy and I are friends. that much I know. today during one of our conversations he told me that he 'envies' me. the way I am, personality, laid back type, optimism, etc.
Okay, translation please?. don't get me wrong, I know what the word envy means, but I've never been told that by anyone, let alone a guy.
Thats actually quite hard to translate. Cos, yeah, it could be an innocent comment but he could also be hinting that he likes you. I personally wouldn't say something like that and not see how it could mean more, so I wouldn't say it to "just anyone". But then again, when I think of it as meaning that I would like to be in the same position in life as the other person, it means pretty much just that. I think you might be reading into this too much? What's the answer your hoping for?
He's a great guy.. and I'd be lying if I said I'm glad we're just friends.. He has a good sense of humor, mature, great personality and we get along great.. so yeah, I wish there was more.. - 5 months ago

In that case, I guess you could just let this friendship go on as it has been and later on there might be more signs as to whether on not there is more . Alternatively, you could be proactive and make "more" happen.
But I think it will be safer to wait for more signs before assuming anything. - 5 months ago
it just means that he wishes that he could be like you. he wishes he didn't always have to be uptight and pessimistic. people that are like that usually can't help themselves and he wishes he was blessed with bein optimistic like you.
