Some guys I suppose use sex to how their emotions and some would like you to think it was about love. Depends on the guy. For romantics, the guy would show you his emotions through gifts, dates, and times when you two are alone. If he isn't a romantic and isn't open I guess the intimate occasions would be a way to show his feelings.but I am not sure.

The difference; with love you can take it wherever you go, sex you can't ; love is an emotion and sex is an act.

The similarity; they're both great when shared.

Love:
An emotion.
Deep care for another person, animal, or thing.
The unselfish bond between two people who care for each other dearly and often do anything for the other.
What people get married for.or justify for sex =/

Sex:
An act.
A way to show love in the right circumstances or relationships.
Basic instinct.
Reproduction.

Love is a commitment to another with strong emotion and care built towards the other person. It should be mutual. You can go the biblical route and so love is kindness, compassionate,.etc.
Love in relation to sex. Love can be shown through sex and yet through lust as well. In the right relationship sex is done in love to show love.

I don't know what else one can say on this.

Mutual love is the highest degree of mental intimacy. Sex is the physical intimacy. You can have one without having the other (i.e. the love you have for your family, and the times when sex is just sex).

I believe, that when you're in a relationship, you would like to be as close to your significant other in every aspect imaginable. And that's where sex and love connect.

So that's the romantic take on it. Technically, sex and love are both under some hormonal control, and some love hormones are released when you have sex. For instance, one hormone that is key for the mother's love for her newborn child is also released in pretty big amounts when you have an orgasm.

Love is the emotion used to describe what you feel for another person. This person has cared for you and stuck by you. Makes you laugh and hopes you'll never cry. They would take a bullet for you. The relationship between to people who truly love each other is unbreakable. Divorce is not an option and sometimes words are not needed to make you feel better. You would give this person anything and share anything with them, even your virginity.

Sex is a lust of passion and desire. A temporary mind game giving one the allusion that your wanted for that moment. It feels good and the passion is hot but gone in the morning. Love is based off each other but sex is the gift you give after the commitment, not to gain the commitment.
