I have this one girl in my mind at the moment that I would really, really like to get to know better. I met her at the end of my school year, so we've only truly known each other for a short while. I have her number, and text her every so often cracking jokes etc., but when I ask her if she wants to hang out, she always tells me she's busy. Now, I understand it could be weird to hang out with someone you barely know, but if I don't know any of her friends or anything, how can I get to know her better? Either she's just doesn't want to see me, or I'm doing something wrong. Any tips on how to get her to like me more or how to get to know her better?
Getting to know her better is definitely the way to go, so thumbs up. Try getting her AIM so you can have something that resembles a conversation more (AIM is usually good because it's not as personal as speaking face2face and it's faster and more personal than texting) Try talking about common interests, or playing something like 10 questions (the low-cal version of 20Q's) instead of cracking dumb jokes to which she can only be like "ha. lol. ;P "
Well, you can't make a girl like you. But you can be yourself in your conversations, and in your texts, or phone conversations ask her questions about herself, and tell her about yourself. If she doesn't want to hang out, maybe she has a boyfriend, or she wants to know more about you before she hangs out with you. Building relationships can take a while, so be patient.
