he looks a bit like my ex when I first met him he really looked like him and that's what made me fancy him! when we first met I told him he looked like my ex and that was all ok and after awhile knowing him I don't see my ex at all I just see him but when I was drunk recently I kept calling him by my ex's name he didn't say anything to me about it but I could see he was hurt as I would be if he called me his ex's name what should I do say sorry?

If you care about this guy and his feelings, maybe you should consider not drinking. Actions speak louder than words.

Just think how you would feel if he did the same. If he confronts you about it, then it's good at least you can explain. If he doesn't say anything at all then he could be hurt more than normal. Depending on the type of guy he is and your value to him, it's a relationship killer. If it was me, that would be enough to just say ok time to shop around and perhaps move on.

Question Asker I know I would be hurt if he said it to me ! it happend 2 weeks ago and he hasn't said anything about it at all he just kinda gave me a look as if I really hurt him and I love him and I don't know what ill do if he does leave - 5 months ago
Answerer Considering that it was 2 weeks ago and nothing has been brought up, perhaps he's decided to put it past behind you and just let it pass. Hopefully that is the case. Has he been different to you since then? - 5 months ago
Question Asker No not really just sometimes when we are sitting down he will say do you really want me or he will give me the look he gave me when I said it - 5 months ago
Answerer It is obvious isn't it that now he is in doubt. I guess at this point what you need to do is to romance him just as you would expect to be romanced by a guy you have doubts of. The fact that he's still with you would indicate that he still values you. - 5 months ago

Not a good call. He is offended by that just as if you'd be if he called you an ex girlfriend of his. Weather, or not he says it's quote on quote, "OK." or not it's not wise. Weather or not he chooses to admit to it, or not it offended him.

Question Asker He hasn't mentioned it at all he just gave me these big puppy dog sad eyes look when I said it which was more than once should I just not say anything about it or leave it be - 5 months ago
Answerer Thats a touchy one.. WOW, hmm, well you can apologize yes, but if you do, you best not say it again and show him by your actions of not saying it again that you "MEAN" what you said when you said sorry, otherwise it won't have meaning. - 4 months ago

Maybe not drinking anymore is something you should think about. Your hurting him and if you really love/care about him, you would do what you could to prevent that.
