so last summer I went to camp and I met this guy named Jacob. He was really fun and sweet. On the last day of camp he wrote me a love letter saying I was the prettiest girl he's met and that he wants to go out with me. But he didn't put a number, address, or anything lol. We agreed to meet at camp the same week this summer so I will see him in a week! But.he is 2 years younger then me and his brother is in my grade! Ahh what do I do? I kinda like Jacob but is 2 years a lot and what will everyone in my grade think when they find out. I know I shouldn't care but ug help me out please.
Don't even worry about what everyone else thinks. If you like him then go for it. Sure maybe some people will be shocked at first but they'll get over it quickly.
Seeing as you have to be 16+ register on the website, and you 'Under 18' I am guessing you are 16 or 17. Anyway. At that age, 2 years seem like a lot, compared to when you are older. I know a 14 year old girl who is going out with an 18 year old, and it creeped me out at first, but it seems ok now. Nonetheless, your situation is a little different, as typically, the girl is the younger one if there is an age difference in the relationship. People usually think this is how it should be, although it is just an opinion. If you like each other, you shouldn't worry about what the others think and go for it.
oh I think that just cause he's younger it shouldn't matter cause I went out with a guy younger then me no one said anything to me and it shouldn't really matter all that should matter is that your happy. so just go with what your heart tells you!
Two years is a lot but don't worry about what other people will think. Still, how well do you know him? That is what you should really be thinking about. Have you even seen him in the last year? Did you guys know each other before that one week of camp? Would it be a long distance relationship? Are you really sure you want to date a guy you barely know and may barely ever get to see? Sorry if any of my assumptions are wrong, but I don't think you should date him.
age is just a number! I am seeing someone two years younger than me and I am going into grade 12. it sounds bad when you say it in terms of grades but it really doesn't matter at all if you like him and want to be with him then go for it! good luck :)
