My best guy friend of over three year's confessed he's in love with me a year ago, and then again recently about two weeks ago. I've questioned my feeling's for him before, but a problem is his jealousy and temper when it comes to me with other guys. I don't have many friends, and he usually calls me everyday and talks to me. He knows everything about me, all the little things, my favorite things and about my entire family. I don't lead him on, I'm not that type of girl and I do my best to keep a distance from him so he doesn't get the wrong idea. I have quite a few guy friends, and throughout my senior year this year he was a jerk, asshole and even threatened the guys I was interested in and scared them off. He's also lost his temper with me, and hurt me before. Therefore, my friends hate him. And don't want me talking to him but they don't understand what he is really like. He's a sweetheart, he is but he's had a bad life. He's 6'4, 235lbs of solid muscle at age 17 and I'm 19 5'6 140lbs. We got in a huge fight a week ago, and haven't talked since. People say he is getting back together with his girlfriend He's dated over 35 times, not even kidding, they break up every month usually over me because he still likes me. And now that he's not around, I'm realized how much I miss his calls, him singing to our favorite songs over the phone, the way he smells, and everything reminds me of him. And now that I realize I might lose him, I just feel empty. I think I've fallen for him, and its taken me this long to realize it. Should I tell him how I really feel, or let him be happy with his ex now that he thinks I don't even like him? But if I tell him, I haven't even told my "friends" how I feel. They'll hate me. I'm so confused, I don't know what to do.
I think you shouldn't have waited so long to let this guy know that you like him, but since you have, and he is moving on, I think you need to allow him the time to move on in order for you to figure out if you truly do like him and really do want to be with him or if it's just an insecurity thing on your part - In other words, do you only like him now because you realize what you were missing the whole time he was with you, or do you really like him and truly want to be with him from here on out? He may also need this time to get over the rejection he may have been feeling from you. This may sound kind of cold, but coming from his perspective, if you were to tell him now that you like him, he may not believe you or may not be sure that if he gets with you that it isn't going to go back to the way it was with you. I think you really need to take this time off and evaluate what your true feelings are so as not to play with this guy's heart. Hope I didn't come off as sounding rude or harsh! :)

Tell him. If you don't you will never know what "could" be. I fell for my best guy friend 4 years ago to and even though he never fell in love with me I have been trying to get my point across for years. I would love it if he said that he loved me and we could be together (even though my friends don't like him either). And as for his girlfriend, he will leave her in a heartbeat if he could have the one he really wants.
What I'm trying to say is don't hold back your feelings for him because you are scared of what your friends think. They should want you to be happy, and like people always say "you can't help who your heart falls in love with". I hope I helped! good luck!
Tell him. He loves you, you love him. You're in easy situation, when you already know about another's feelings and you don't have to bother your head if he feels the same way about you. Just tell him how you feel and see how it goes from there. If your friends will hate you, then they really aren't your friends. They should like to see you happy. Besides didn't you say he is your BEST friend? That's really romantic and classy :)
