I feel that way as well. The way I look at it is that unless I get out there and actually pursue a relationship and get into one, then I will never really know. The way you are feeling is totally normal and lots of people probably feel that way.

i don't think it's a matter of being 'ready' for a relationship or not, its meeting that right person, that's when you're ready for a relationship. you should never go out looking for a relationship either, even if you do feel lonely, because you won't meet the right person that way.

You have to interact with someone long enough to know if you want a relationship or not. This cannot be determined by just being by yourself.

You can be lonely in the inside and not have any body to hold or be there for you. Loneliness is a hard thing to go through when ur content enjoy it because if ur feeling lonely in the beginning you will never stop being lonely. so while you are content enjoy it when it is in front of u. it is better to be content then lonely trust me.

I have a favorite saying '' I'm alone , but NOT LONELY''. And for me that's how I know the difference between wanting to be in a relationship and being content with just being with me. Most of the people I hang around are coupled up , but to be honest I don't feel like I'm missing much. I know what its like to be in a relationship and while there are plenty of good times to be had there are equally plenty of bad times as well. In any case you hope the good out weighs the bad , but that doesn't always happen. I know I'm not ready to be in a relationship because I have option's , but I choose to look elsewhere . Simply put I"M NOT LOOKING. I don't want to be with anyone right now I have spent so many years chasing that dream that it feels so good to finally be chasing who I am as a WOMAN. Everyone gets lonely , but who's to say companionship is the necessary remedy ? The question is not how do we know if we're not ready to be in a relationship , but how do you know ? Only you can answer that.

Does it ever annoy you that you're single?
random-ren asked 19 days ago

Yes, most of the time! I really wish I had a boyfriend/girlfriend!

A little, because I feel left out.

Not really...

Nope! I have too much fun being single!

What's there to be annoyed about?

What pickup lines do you use to start a conversation with someone you are attracted to?
Depending on the setting: Start talking about something relevant to where we are, then ask about herself then talk about me a little bit, make a joke, then ask her to go somewhere like Starbucks. If all goes well perhaps ask her out on a date (If all goes reeeally well!!! - I'm a bit shy )

How do they typically respond?
50/50 sometimes good, sometimes bad. Although sometimes they think I'm just being friendly...how do I fix that...

Do I have the right approach?
