Ok so I dated this girl for a few weeks at the end of last semester. We got along except for a couple stupid fights. We had fun when we were together. I wanted to push the relationship further and it seemed like she completely lost interest. I didn't talk to her till a few weeks later (late may probably) when we saw a movie with another friend. and it seemed like she was legit happy to see me.
Come summer. I see her at a july 4th party. awkwardddd As I'm greeting people / introducing myself to people, I hear my name called. I spin around and its her! She goes in for the hug, and I show some affection back. I go on to greet more people, and then sit down next to my buddy. a couple minutes later this girls friend sits down to the left of me and then she squeezed in between me and her friend. (it was on a log lol, don't ask)
She says things to me like, I don't have many friends back home, not like you. and says that we need to hang out more. A litle later she invites me to her friends party the next night.
I go, it was alright.
So. It seems as if she is trying to get on my good side. but I don't want to immediately be like, lets hang out! So. based on what I described what do you think is going on in her head.
Keep in mind I love this girl to death, and she drives me crazy. Im almost better off avoiding her than making an effort, but when we're together its just perfect.
I'd keep her at arm's length. If it's really a big deal for her, she'll let you know. But if it's not, then she'll move on.
Also, if you're going to parties with the same people, you're just going to meet the same people. I'd start moving around in different social circles if I were you.
I've had a similar situation, simply treat her as a friend, be cautious, and don't be too whoop de do if she comes on to you again. She'll lose interest and whatnot.

Describe your ideal first date; Where do you go? What do you wear? How does the date end?
I would love to go somewhere casual like putt-putting or a fair .. not the movies though.. at least dinner before.. the point of the date is to get to know each other. I love laughing and relaxed atmospheres , so anywhere not to formal would be fun . it gives both people a chance to open up.
Afterwards..what will your date know about you?
My favorite past times, movies and books I like , also what kind of music . however I wouldn't spend the entire date talking about me .. we're supposed to be learning about EACH OTHER not just me. lol
