Sometimes it leads to a break in the relationship because one person might need to make sure it's what they really want, sometimes it's just a phase that will end quickly, and unfortunately, for some it will end up breaking them up. I would say if you or your boyfriend have commitment jitters, take a week to spend less time together and it will make you appreciate each other all over again.
