hey, I'm writing a book at the moment about a girl that falls in love with a teacher and vise versa and how people react to this and I was just wondering the casual persons opinion on this matter is it wrong. is the teacher abusing his position? or is love something that can't be controlled and if they are indeed in love is that okay? or does love not matter in this situation? Lemmie know what you think

Well I personally don't think it's wrong if they're actually in love.

And I don't agree with the guy that said it's lust both ways. There's no way for someone on the outside [of the relationship] to know whether it's love or lust because THEY'RE not the ones in the situation. I definitely think it's possible to fall in love with a teacher.
So yeah, I think you can't really control who you love, and as long as you make sure that it really IS love and not lust, then there's really nothing wrong with it.

Student teacher relationships are always blurry. To people they think that the teacher is taking advantage of the student because he is older and he should know that what he is doing is wrong. The student might think the opposite because she is in love and will claim that he is not taking advantage of her. It can be true that the teacher is only looking for a sexual relationship and some students might seduced their teacher to gain power so their a various relationships that can happen. But since you mention the word love it's a possibility but it comes with complications. He might really love her but as long as he doesn't abuse his power or use her for his personal gain then it could be true. It's looked at as immortal when it's with a high school student and its frowned upon when it's with a college student.

Personally I've always been intrigued with student teacher relationship because I had a huge crush on my high school teacher and wanted a relationship but it was too complicated and even though we didn't do anything wrong rumors started and it almost got him fired. So it's good that your writing a book about student teacher relationships but just know that it's a difficult relationship

well, love is something that cannot be controlled- its meant to be free and passionate!
but in the situation of the teacher and the student- the question is- "is it love or infatuation?" and if she is in love with him, how does he respond, does it evolve into something simply physical or a deep relationship?

all these questions need to be answered before we term something right or wrong!
but I do believe that if both of them are in love with eachother, they should be responsible and deal with the situation maturely, and remember that society looks down on their situation, but if the love is true and meant to be, it will find a way!

hope this helps!
BTW: you're so young and writing a book!
good luck with that!

it's not love, it's lust in both directions. Is it right in the present day, well according to the majority yes it is due to all the rules society has created as to what is right and what is wrong. If this was going on a century ago then odds are it would be considered okay by the vast majority since there were less rules to follow back then.
