First off, don't start every word with a capitol letter, it makes reading your question incredibly difficult.
As for why he does that, he's clearly succumbing to tribe mentality and peer pressure. He cares more about his image around his friends than he does with you. This is why he acts so nicely to you when no one else is around, because there's no one there he needs to impress and he can be himself.
I've had this happen to me but it was with a girl. Her friends treated me terribly, and she joined in, however, when we were alone together, it was like we were boyfriend and girlfriend. These people just need to learn how to be themselves.
