My fiance and I live together. Everything is great except that he can be very unreliable when he goes out. If he goes out on a Friday night with friends, I ask him to text me if he's going to be out later than 3:30am. I don't even want to know details, I just want him to be considerate and let me know so I'm not wondering where he is.
He always 'forgets' do to this simple task and we end up fighting. Now, it is making me nervous every time he goes out. I know that he isn't cheating - what gives?
I know that this seems simple to you, bit it is a spectacularly annoying thing for a man to do. It's going to be on your mind all night if you're going to remember to do it, and its going to completely detract from your fun because you know you have this worried girlfriend sitting at home getting all freaked out for nothing.
This is where the trust in relationships has to come in. Let him know that it bugs you to not know where he is that late on a Friday, maybe pull that same kind of shit on him sometime when he's sitting home alone so he knows how it is, and other than that, let it slide. Please give the man some leniency on this one.
I'd really make sure what he's up to as well, especially if you'll be walking down the aisle soon. It doesn't seem to me like there'd be any legit reason to keep "forgetting." I'm sorry and I wish you luck!
