Semi-boyfriend into serious boyfriend

In all honesty, Homer has a point, but I would also guess that he might have been thinking the same thing and was afraid to ask you for the same reasons. Bring it up gently.

It would help to know what kind of guy he is, how long you two have kind of been together and such. I would say just ask him. So say it all serious like or say "We need to talk". Guys hate hearing that. One day just say that you really like him and that you want start dating seriously.

This is not a CAR, or the TV set that you can make it run and then stop. Things like relationships do not come to life with a touch of a button or a switch of a key. Hence the name "Relationship". Otherwise, you would call him the boy-toy hatchback 2007, or "boy-friend NOW in high def."

Do whatever you have been doing and let him do whatever he has. Don't expect certain cookie cutter behaviors as buying flowers or going out on dates or cuddling to happen with a switch. If he is into it he will do it, if he already hasn't. If he is not such a guy and it is a must that you should have those, then break up with him and find a new one. Don't change him to be the person you want. FIND the person you want to be with. And that shall set you free of all the drama. END.
