Can guys and girls just be friends?

Not unless we have common friends and very similar interests, otherwise when looking at girls I am only interested in potential lovers.

yes of course. I have several fantis friends that are just friends. It just depends on the guy and the girls opinion of what a friend is.

i 100% agree with what Airi Strikes said. Yes you can. 2 of my best friends are girls. if a guy doesn't have a friend that's a girl, it either means he has no friends at all. or he can't go 2 seconds without thinking about sex and creeps any potential female friend out. having a friends of the opposite sex is like this website, you can ask a question and get a male opionon.

Guys and girls can be friends of course. out of my 5 bestfriends 2 of them are girls.

No. It's against our nature. There are only three types of female friends:1) The one we like, but haven't told her yet, 2) The one that said she didn't like us that way; so we keep around to see if we can change her mind, and #3) The one that likes us, and we don't like back, but she keeps sticking around; so o.k; I guess we can be friends, but Stop bugging me.

I've never had a problem with having guy friends. There were some friendships that had sexual tension, but I think that was the intention of the relationship to begin with. But the rest were just as close as having a relationship with a girl, except without the "period" discussions.
I think having friends of both sexes balances out your life. I like having two perspectives on situations. It's good have variety in your life.

Definitely! So many of my friends are guys. And it's possible because human beings are social creatures and both guys and girls are human beings.

In my opinion, as a girl, it is so much easier to make friends with guys, although your closest group of friends wil be girls [allowing for the exception of one guy as a single best friend]. The reason being, guys are more laid back and unbitchy and won't over-react to small things. Although they can be kind of gross sometimes! Hahaha. =)
