I've liked a girl for many years and we've became good friends for about 4-5 years. We have told each other that we like each other before but I was too inexperience back then to do anything about it. Is it possible that I can stir things up again or have I fallen into the "friends category" for too long?

I've tried going out with different girls but I just don't feel the connection I have with them that I have with her. I came to realize that she's someone I would really wanna be with.. either that or I keep trying to find someone else....

My parents were friends long before they started dating so the potential is certainly there. I would still remember to keep in mind though that if the friend doesn't reciprocate the feeling and is worried that you would keep pushing or be disappointed, she might feel that the friendship will not be the same and leave the scene for good.

Yes, personally I went out with a chick who I had been friends with for about four years... I will never do it again, cos it f**ks up and it will. And then once the relationship is over, your friendship gets screwed over too. Dating a good friend is nearly incest.

Does it ever annoy you that you're single?
random-ren asked 10 days ago

Yes, most of the time! I really wish I had a boyfriend/girlfriend!

A little, because I feel left out.

Not really...

Nope! I have too much fun being single!

What pickup lines do you use to start a conversation with someone you are attracted to?
In order to get to know someone I would wait until there is something I could laugh about with that other person. Such as someone dancing in the hallway...i would turn to the person I like and say "ha wow, some people are pro's" then id say something like "your friends with so and so" or "do you live in my neighborhood?" ((I know this works sometimes, but I don't know how else to do it))

How do they typically respond?
They usually smile or just respond to a yes and then I feel a lot better about my self and continue on the conversation until I got there number.

Do I have the right approach?
