My girlfriend and I were together for about 1 1/2 years. We were going through some tough financial times. I was stressed about the money and the holidays coming up. In august we were both beaten up at work. We work in a prison. She was attacked by a male inmate and I was in the area and responded to the call for help over the radio. She was beaten pretty bad. The inmate and I was in a fight where he broke my nose and my jaw before I could get control over him and get him cuffed up.
Since then she has been really stressed out. On thanksgiving I went hunting with my family and she went to her parents. Before I left we had an argument about her not paying the house payment when she said she would. I told her that if she wasn't going to help out she could get out. Words that I regret now. She moved out and didn't tell me until I was back from hunting. Since then she comes over every night after work, goes to counseling with me for my yelling problem and stays over every once in a while.
It's been a month since then and we don't get much time together. My best friend tells me to let her go that she is gone. All I know is that she is the first person that I have ever been truly In Love with. I have been married twice and have two kids. I have been in love with her for 7 years. I want to marry her as she is the person that I have been looking for my entire life.
My problem is she don't want to be romantic unless she has been drinking. She gives excuses that she is tired, she don't want to get pregnant or she don't feel good. There is a guy at work who she talks to a lot and when she left me he left his girlfriend. I think something is going on but she tells me that they are just friends. It's Christmas and this is the first time that she has seen my kids since she left. I have them 3 days a week. What should I do I have tried dates with her, roses, jewelry and have even planned a vacation for a romantic getaway for just us two. These have all been met with resistance.
She lives at her parents now and her mother hates me, her dad takes me hunting and her brother thinks of me as a brother. What is going on in her head? and How do I get the LOVE OF MY LIFE BACK?
