My friend likes me and I like him to, but he's not sure if we should be a couple just because I had a one night stand with his friend while I was in high school. I never thought about being with him until we started chilling with each other. What I did with his friend was a mistake. If I knew that I wanted to be with him years later then I wouldn't slept with his friend who I haven't seen in years.

I'm not understanding, If you really like me you wouldn't worry about what your friend thinks, right? That was years ago, I feel like if you want to be with me then you need to tell your buddies to respect our relationship and start being a leader and not a follower. We been sleeping with each other for awhile too. He told me he just doesn't want to hear that his friend tapped my a$!, but will think about it.

What should I do now?

He doesn't trust you. What he knows is that you're capable of one night stands (knows this from his friend) and, since you're calling him a friend and not boyfriend, it seems that you're also sleeping with him outside of committed, exclusive relationship. On the surface his concern is the image of you and his friend, but the underlying concern is that you have, shall we say a high libido?

That's the way it seems to me. Not that the two guys are big heroes here. Just seems like all three of you are more about sex than relationships. If that's what y'all want then stay together, but I don't see anyone acting like a leader in the near future.

I think he has a valid concern...but you're right. If he likes you then he should tell his friend/s to get over it and respect his relationship with you. But I honestly, if I were you would be more worried about the fact that he may be using you for sex.

Right now he has it made, he gets to have sex with you with no strings attached. I would cut him off and then see how much he really cares for you. See if he sticks around.
