You have a few options though:

1) Find a local guy, though he would be German its not that terrible as most foreigners can speak English pretty well.

2) Find someone who is from the same state or area that you are and start dating with them and find out if they are someone your interested in.

3) You find them, don't let them find you, in other words talk to guys first, make first contact ect, this will take out a huge portion of the guys just looking to "get some" since those ones almost always attack the girl rather then vise versa.

The army is one of the worst places to try to find someone to date. This is because almost everyone is from different regions and when they think of relationships they know when they get out their going home to states most likely a huge distance from each other =/

You've answered your own question and you didn't even know it!! When you said you were stationed there I can immediately tell you that any military guy you try and get with will just want one thing because you are good looking! You need to find a person that lives there or meet someone on the internet. But don't show them pics of what you look like and maybe you will find a guy around there that will be willing to go out with you and not want just sex. But it's hard to find the 1 decent guy in the thousands of players!! Oh and I know this cause I'm in the army...lol!!

I'm black and in Czech Rep . And this is what I have learned about European guys .
Its like most of them have this impression that Black girls are great/wild in bed (some will tell you this: I have heard this from Italians, Brits, Czechs, Germans, etc) . So they already have that in mind .

Some are not familiar with black women and they just want to experiment, see what its like .
Some of them will not be in a serious relationship with you because of their family or friends .

Then there is another belief that most black girls who come to Europe are desperately looking for a European husband for citizenship . So some guys have that in their mind too .

There are some who will genuinely like you but they have low self confidence because they don't speak English well .
I have been told that in most cases you have to make the first move and in fact most European girls do make the first move .

Then there guys who exclusively have relationships with black women .

There is nothing wrong with you . The problem is the majority of the guys and who ever started the rumors .

Well weeks isn't really a long time to wait to have sex. Guys who just want to beat will sometimes spend 2 or 3 months hanging around because they have other girls in the harem, so to speak. If you wait like 6+ months it will be easier to weed out the jerks.

There is nothing wrong with you. It's the guys. If they just want sex and you're looking for a relationship then you may have to wait until the right guy happens up.
