So a ood frined of mine came into work and she was in pain I asked her what was wrong and she told me that she went to the hospital and the dr told her that she had fractured a rib. why she would come into work is beyond me. I asked her what happened and she said she didn't know. wouldn't that be something pretty painful and you would what caused it?Im pretty sure her dad is abusive do you think she is lyin and it was really her dad that did it should I do anything about it or just mind my own business?
Update: Thanks for the advice. I think that she is afraid that her siblings will be put into a foster home. Social Services have come to their house before. There parents are split and neither of them are really fit to raise a kids.

You can't really do anything other then show her support, and just let her now you are there if she needs help. Don't be pushy and make any accusations against her father, she knows what is going on and is up to her to end the abuse, she is just going to have to figure it out herself. But if you see any more injuries I think someone should know may be anonymously let the police or someone know so they can investigate it ?
If she went to the hospital she must know wut happened. You should talk to her and if it wuz caused by her dad show her you care and try to show her support.
I think you should talk to her about it. Just ask her, and make sure she knows that you are there for her if she needs you. If she really is being abused, then she needs to have someone there for her, someone to turn to. I have been in her situation, and the only thing worse than being abused is knowing that no one else cares about you too.
If she was in enough pain to go to the hospital, she most certainly knows what caused it.. It could be abuse from her dad. There's not too much you can do. This can be a touchy subject. Just let her know that you're there for her if she needs you.
