Why is it that many men are not good communicators when it comes to feelings and relationship issues? Are all men like this?

Scientifically speaking I think it's because the left side and the right side of the brain aren't that connected.

It just depends on the guys. There are some guys who are emotional or in touch with their emotional side. I'm one of them actually. I really express how I feel. But then, the girl I'm with seems to be the one who is not in touch with the emotional side. So I'm in a situation wherein it's the other way around. It really just depends on the person. It's not only guys who are not good communicators. There are also some girls. It just depends on the right timing. Well, that's how I look at it anyway.

Question Asker Well I agree with you. I'm hoping I can get him to open up otherwise I'm not sure the relationship can survive. He's a good guy but when it comes to sitting down and talking about relationship issues he stinks! - 11 months ago

Its only certain guys. If you pick an artist or a poet or someone who can use a different side of their brain than you'll find a guy that can communicate. But if you pick a guy that well, is not really in touch with the emotional side of his nature than you might find friction.

Not all men are bad at communicating their feelings and talking about relationships. Most men really don't like to talk about their feelings or relationships though. You have to understand that to most guys feelings and emotions are secondary issues. If someone does something to make a guy mad for example, a guy will concentrate on what was said or done, why it was wrong, and how it should have been done differently when communicating to the person who made him angry. His feelings probably won't even be mentioned, because to most guys feelings aren't really relevant.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that most guys will focus on what caused them to feel a certain way, and it seems that most women focus on the feelings themselves. So if a guy likes a woman, he will focus on why he likes her: how pretty she is, how nice she is, the fact that she makes great sandwiches, whatever it happens to be. Where as women seem to focus on how someone makes them feel.

As far as relationships are concerned most guys don't talk about them unless something is going wrong. So no news is good news usually.
