Because there are so many guys out there that make a sport out of playing with a girls heart. So she needs to be reassured.

It doesn't really mean anything - why feel bad about saying it? Insecurity is the real bitch. I like to hear it too, but I like it as a surprise. The best time I ever heard it, we had gone out for a little lunch and stopped in a record store, I was browsing alone and the guy I was with came up and gave me an awesome hug from behind and said it all casual and happy-like. that was the best. everything else sounded forced or I wasn't ready to reciprocate.

It makes her feel secure and good about her self and just to know that you do it makes her feel good about her relationship. its good to hear once in awhile too.
