Anyone out there trying to find someone to spend your valentines day with, well this is for all the single people out there.

I know I have and have noticed other girls that I usually see weekly but never took a interest in. Still kind of picky and can't find the right one though.

Also you girls that are single, are you feeling more vulnerable at this time of the year and lowering your standards just to find someone? I've noticed more girls checking me out than usual right now, before valentines day.

Do you feel depressed to have to spend Valentines Day alone? I know I have before but it must be much harder for the girls anyway.

This will be the first Valentines Day I get to spend with someone. =) And even better? I'm completely in love with the guy.

But having a number of years being alone on Valentines Day- I understand how awful it is. =/
Last year on Valentines, I gathered a group of my girlfriends around to mine and they stayed over and we melted chocolate and watched Ewan McGregor. =P
We compleeetely forgot about the whole thing - until about 5am when we started talking about past relationships, and just generally having a good gossip!

The thing is though; why would you want to spend Valentines with some random person that you don't really care about? Just hang out with your friends. Don't desperately try and seek some average girl or guy who won't make the night special.

One day, you'll spend the 14th February with someone really amazing. It's bound to happen!

Remember.. it's just a silly little day. It's not important - just a bit of fun for the people in a relationship. And alooot of fun for the single people! Great excuse to go out on the pull? No? =P

Its definitely going to be hard for me. Especially I work in a store where a lot of people buy heart shaped boxed candies and teddy bears for their girlfriends/boyfriends/fiances etc. Every time when Valentines Day comes I never have a guy. =[ kinda sad!
Im already depressed enough as it is. (sighh...) how lucky some people are who have someone to spend the most romantic day of the year. Doi, now I'm even more sad. =[

Question Asker Same as me, the store that I work in is stocking up on valentines candies and gifts, kind of depressing for a single guy seeing those. I don't know what events my school is going to have on valentines day but probably nothing to intense because of midterms being around the same week. - 9 months ago
Answerer Yeah it is depressing =[ - 9 months ago

never had a boyfriend during valentines, but yeah I think it is difficult. I basically spend it talking to friends (mostly single too). I would rather take it alone then get into a relationship that was based on just not being alone for the one day.

As my friend calls it "Singles Awareness Day"

I am looking for a relationship before the infamous V-Day, but I've set my sights on this one girl way before I started worrying about this. I mean, I've spent plenty of V-day's alone, and when that happens it doesn't even feel like a holiday to me, because I'll just go hang out with some friends or rent a movie.
The person I am interested in right now has pretty much told me she is interested, as well. I hope to ask her out this week, for a scary movie date (she wants me to go see the Uninvited, since she says it was good. I said I would have to find someone to go with, she immediately said "I'll go!" lol), and when V-day comes around, I'll just ask her to hang out at my house, play some pool, and maybe watch a movie. Something casual always works for the recent paired couples, because there really isn't any pressure on getting them something except a good time.
As for girls checking you out, that could possibly be true. But then again, maybe you're just a smoking stud. I disapprove of you going out with people that are finally noticing you, unless of course you've known them before this month.
The thing is, I can't drive yet, so that's what limits the V-day experience for a lot of teens. Driving is what I lack, so that's why creativity works great on this holiday. Creativity = Thinking of easy dates, how your girl gets home, and what happens after/during. I hope that I can count on my brother to give me and her a ride to her house, I'll snag a kiss at her door, and high five my sibling on the way home! Sounds paramount! lol
So I know this whole thing wasted your time, so I'll just leave you with an idea: Ask someone out on a casual date this week. On V-day, do something fun and cheap (bowling is a great idea) and maybe snag a little romance in the end (don't try to go too fast, it'll ruin the day for both of you!).
Good luck, man!

Question Asker One problem, too many girls to choose from... The ones that I'm really interested in are the girls that were interested in me back in the fall from last semester, since it's been months and they still got their eyes on me and I still notice them.

Not a really big deal for me though, last year I didn't know when valentines day was and when I saw people giving each other chocolates and cards, it took me a while to figure it out. Too bad I remembered when valentines day was this year. - 9 months ago

i have spent every valentines on my own so far I'm sure I can cope with another one on my own it doesn't hurt for me anyways , sometimes I think argh look at them I wish I could have a girlfriend but it doesn't get to me that badly , unless I dwell on it plus valentines isint just a reason to lower your standards just for the sake of a card or romantic gestures they only mean something when you actually love the person.

Good luck finding her dude.

Question Asker Yea I know what you mean, every time when I see a couple together who seem really happy, it kind of depresses me...

Well there are some girls that I met back when the spring semester started but nothing too deep to get any interest in..

Theres always hope though, still 14 more days.... - 9 months ago
