I am a 26 yr old male from Ohio and I am with a 29 yr old woman. I started off with no kids and then started dating her and she has two kids. We started dating then broke up after about 3 months because I was always going out with friends and not staying home with her. 6 months later we started going out again. She actually cheated on her boyfriend to go back with me. After that she moved in with me and my parents and about 3 months after that she became pregnant with my son. When she was pregnant I started going out with friends again and wasn't around her as much as I should be. Our sex used to be great she always wanted it. We have lived together for almost 3 yrs. now. I asked to marry me about a yr ago. The thing is she hasn't wore her ring for about 6 months now. I know that she loves me but I don't know what is going on in her head. She isn't affectionate anymore and said that she wants space to make sure she is really happy what should I do?

I think you know what you're doing wrong...going out with your friends and leaving her alone during a time when she needs you the most - AGAIN - not a good idea. It sounds to me like you only realize how much you want to be with her when she starts pulling away. You did it once before and you'll lose her permanently if you do it again. Plus, now there are three children involved. 26 and 29 is actually a pretty big difference. You're gonna have to grow up a bit and be a husband and a dad. Good luck!

There could be other reasons than what Marisa pointed out above. You said she had two kids and now has another kid with you. That sounds a bit confusing but you need to show her that you are up to the task of being a father and a good one in that matter. That's one of the ultimate things women look for in men.

Then you said you lived with your parents.. Do you still live with them? that might be another reason why she is not the same as she used to be.

Then you said you proposed her about a year ago but didn't say you got married. Could that be why she is acting weird? That she needs to get married to you sooner than later.

If she wants space, that might in fact mean as "Hey wake up, I am falling out and if you don't do anything about it, I will be out the door and soon" otherwise, she would have left you long time ago instead of just taking the ring off.
