He broke up with me 2 months ago, together for slightly more than 3 years. I think he's probably thought of breaking up for sometime, but it was an argument which caused the breakup. He's got himself a girlfriend less 2 weeks after breaking up, but some friends question the "existence" of this girl. As of lately, he gets upset when I don't answer his calls or his texts, or to his IM's and over last weekend, he texted to ask why I was ignoring him.The following Saturday, I said I was busy, and if he has nothing important to say, to have a nice day *smiley* and he just replied "sucky day" followed by "wanna say you're still the best", he said this almost a month ago too. What was that all about? That night he texted asking if I was free and that he'd be at the mall. I already had plans. He said I was just trying to ignore him. He also texted his best friend that night, asking him if it would be a good idea to get back together with me.On Monday afternoon, we met up for a drink and apparently he just wanted to know if I was "fine". He commented on my new look, I have changed completely and friends and family thought I've never looked better. He didn't think I could change, he told me this after we broke up. He said my new hair looks ugly, and he asked why did I have to dye it, I was wearing a dress and high heels which I never did while I was with him, and he said I looked better in t-shirts and jeans and mentioned that I seem and will be better off without him cos he's f***ed up. And he asked why I took so long to reply to his IM's and texts, if I replied at all. I asked if he was sitting around waiting and he said no.After he sent me home, I texted telling him I hope he was ok and to let me know if there was anything wrong. He replied "Rather not drag you into it. Lousy life". What is going on?That night, I had my msn msg set to "seek those with your best interests at heart". He later came online and IMed me, "you ok?", my other contacts saw my personal msg, he was the only one who took it to mean that I was not ok, when I've already told him I was ok a few times that day!Two days ago, he went out his friend and this friend asked about the text he sent him regarding getting back together with me. My ex just replied "typed wrongly". Huh? It has MY NAME on it. There was no way he could have typed wrongly.I haven't heard from him since Monday night.
It seems that he wants to care for you in one instance, in another I think he doesn't want to get damaged again, or hurt you like he did. This is very sensitive ice to tread on. I would start by telling him that you are not alright and that he isn't either. You don't seem alright without him.
