ive been talking to this guy from north georgia for about 7 months and I live in south georgia now and we have been in a relationship for a/b 5 months... he tells me he wants to be with me forever and I tell him that I don't want to lose him.. I text him everyday, we talk every night but I never get to see him... is it normal to love somebody that you never see? he's 19 and will be 20 in july and I am 17 and I graduate next year (2010) .. we make plans of being with each other like.. he says he's comming down here for Christmas this year and he wants ta spend it with me.. and he can't come to prom with me this year, but he says that he will my senior year.. and when I graduate in may of 2010, he's supposed to go to texas with me to stay with my mom for a/b 2 wks.. I often think if I'm jus his "shawty" instead of the his woman.. he says that he'd never hurt me, but I still doubt guys because every guy I've had has cheated on me.. but that's another story.. I'm jus scared that he'll find somebody else before I can have him physically.. any comments will be helpful.. thanks a lot :]
seems like we're going through the same thing here...and yeah I know that feeling..its like..you wonder every minute what's he doing, is he seeing someone else, and all those questions.. : ( well...im trying to get my boyfriend to do this...like organise a date and time and use skype so that you can both talk to him and see his face (but he needs a webcam and mic) and keep sending each other little packages and letters every now and then by mail because unexpected little suprises like these can make you feel so much reassured and he will also see how much your trying to make it work so if he really wants it to work out aswell he should also do the same back to also let you know he wants to make it forever... goodluck
Thats not true at all i've had a long distance relationship off and on since I was 16 and we got engaged as long as BOTH people are willing to put the work in and both people can handle the distance, then it'll work.it's DEFINITELY not easy, it gets harder and harder the longer you're apart but it can work. - 4 months ago

I'm not really clear on what you're looking for. It seems you already know the risks of long distance relationships, so what else do you want to know?
ur relationship can work but it will take time and persistence but first you have to make sure that you guys trust each other and are actually serious about wanting to be together. If not, then u'll be having doubts on whether if it'll work or if he's cheating and other stuff like that. Also, you need to see each other at least twice for the year, so although it may be hard...u need to see each other physically for the relationship to work. Also try spicing things up a bit..every now and then. (u guys could talk via webcam now and again or meet on various occasions so things don't get boring and monotonous)
heey I'm in also in a long distance relationship... it's been abt 2 and a half years now :] I'm not gonna lie it's tuff some time... esp those times when your feelin down and and all you want is him there holdin you tight... but when you finally do see them its like you fall in love wid dem all over again... I think that in order to make it wrk you guys really need to have a STRONG trust 4 one another and to find ways to keep that love burning/interesting...like chrissyboo said, things like little surprise here & there, & letters...
one of the thing me & my boyfriend do is play online games that both of us can play together & make it a little competion

Last year, I received a forwarded email that asked a group of little kids to define “love”. The responses were quite phenomenal. A four-year-old boy said, “When someone loves you, the way they say...
