I get annoyed enough as it is when my girlfriend looks on my phone and through my text messages. Very annoyed. But why on earth does she say it's not me she doesn't trust, it's my friends?
I think it's just plain rude and it's a cover-up to not get herself in trouble. It doesn't work and I don't believe her.
For one thing I don't understand why she says it's not you it's your friends that she doesn't trust. Well than she should go to your friends and figure it out not going through YOUR phone. My ex did it and the reason was because an issue happened that he wasn't really trusting me that well so that's what he did.
If she didn't trust your friends, she'd be looking through _their_ text messages. She doesn't trust your interactions with them. Are some of your friends girls? If so, then your girlfriend might be jealous or paranoid.
In any case, you should let her know that it's not okay to look through your personal mail. She's done it before and found no evidence, so she has no reason to continue looking. It's a breach of trust.
I have a lot of friends who are girls. These girls who I've been friends with for much longer than the relationship has been going on. I've told her again and again she shouldn't be doing it. But it's getting out of hand. It is breach of trust. - 7 months ago

In that case, it may be time to make an ultimatum: "Stop looking through my messages or this relationship is over."
If her behavior continues, she may make an ultimatum of her own: "Sever ties with your current friends or this relationship is over." - 7 months ago

Funnily enough I've said that too. But I just didn't know whether to actually keep my word with that. But a lot of my friends are telling me I should just call it off. The whole relationship seems bust anyway. - 7 months ago
