I think it is how the guys are in general; not as emotional as girls, hunters, tough.. and all those make us more hesitant to be more verbal with our feelings and emotions, we think it makes us weak when we talk about our feelings. Not only to our loved ones, but to anyone about any of our feelings.
Most girls think they do, or could, love every guy they date. Guys don't think that way. If it happens, it hits us like a freight train - not something we are looking for and not entirely comfortable (for me anyway).
I think (a) it means more to them when they do share their feelings since they aren't used to hanging around and talking about how they feel and (b) it's in their genetic makeup to spread their seed so they are always on the lookout for someone else - until they find the right girl, of course.
