Getting hit on

I'm not a fan of the girl-as-trophy attitude, so it doesn't really make me proud. If I'm dating a girl, it's because I like her, not because I want to impress a bunch of guys. If I want attention and envy from men, I'll buy a sports car.

I don't like it when guys hit on the girl I'm dating or when she flirts with them. It's simple jealousy on my part. But if she's honest and I know she's not going to cheat on me, then I do my best to suck it up and get over it. That's one of the benefits of being in a relationship with someone who doesn't want to cheat on you - you can talk and flirt and hang out with the opposite sex without making each other paranoid :)

Nah not really. My girlfriend is a bartender at a local nightclub so she gets hit on all the time. I know she's not going to do anything about it, I just like hearing the stories of how guys try to pick them up.

My boyfriend is proud, he knows I'm not going anywhere but it's like a compliment to his good taste in women. A guy can't really get mad if other people hit on his girl...would he rather no one thought she was much to look at?

While I cannot speak on behalf of all guys, I can say that my boyfriend does feel proud when he finds out that a guy is interested in me. I suppose he feels that he gets bragging rights because he's with me and that the other guys can't have me. Lols! He told me that it makes him feel lucky that I'm with him, because out of all the guys, I chose him. I think it is really sweet for him to say, but that he is making me out to be something greater than I really am. But maybe that's what is going on through your boyfriend's head whenever a guy hits on you.
