I have these 2 shirts, they are both just solid plain tee shirts with no writing or anything on them. One is pink and one is yellow. I wear the yellow one under the pink one so you can see some of the yellow like part of the sleeves, the bottom of the shirt and the neck. It is not a pale pink but not a hot pink. Both of the shirts are brightish. Someone told me pink and yellow don't match together. Do they?
I think pink and yellow could be cute. As long as it's not a bright yellow, but more of a pale yellow. Dandelion yellow would work with a deep pink though.
For that person, maybe pink and yellow don't match. If they have more of a rosy or sallow skin tone, pink or yellow may just generally be a bad color for them. (Pink fabric and pink skin look weird together--same for yellow. ) Layering pink and yellow like that is especially hard.
Don't listen to other people talking about you--but do look at yourself in the mirror. If you like the combo, it probably looks good. You should check your coloring anyway, if just to reassure yourself.
Personally I like pink and yellow together. In fact, I've got a shirt that's pink with yellow accents and probably looks a lot like what you're describing! I don't know what higher power decides what "matches" and what doesn't. For most things it's just a matter of preference I think.
