Do guys like girlie girls or tomboys?

Generic "girlie" girls are frustrating beyond compare . I find them impossible to comprehend . The typical barbie look and constant giggling is just infuriating . It is also apparent that these girls don't have a distinct personality, and it would be entertaining to see them walk into a lamppost .

This is a personal preference. Some like one more than the other, some one to exclusion, some about equal. Personally, I like both tomboys and girlie girls, and I also dislike some of either type. Girls can't really be simplified just by whether they act effeminate or sporty, after all, since there are other characteristics to personality.

If you are just curious about whether guy's opinions on this are uniform, rest assured they aren't. In general, it's not relevant what most might think anyway, since it's more important to be yourself, cliche as it sounds.

Well in San Francisco both would be considered Lesbian, so its hard to say from the general perspective of my area. To answer your question specifically, I would have to say neither.

I for one like a woman who is in touch with her wants but is aware that its a two way street and needs to be able to give as well as receive. This sounds simplistic, but its a rarity in my experience. Either their takers or givers, why not both?

As these other gentlemen have said, a little bit of both is the best possible mixture. The tomboy trait that these guys are describing is one of that a girl who can relate to our manhood while still holding a sense of femininity.

We don't want the girl who is all fashion, high maintence and cries about everything.

In contrast, we also don't want the girl who spits, farts and tells dirty poop jokes with us either.

Someone who can shoot pool with us and even watch a game (competative / glory) while still holding on to some of the "family" orientated goals and activities of her own.

But then again, men will tolerate these negative personality traits if she looks good enough.

Honestly, I like tomboys. They are a blast to hang out with, and those feelings transfer into having a blast in the sack, if it gets to that point. But what do I know, I'm Just A Random Guy.

I like both so long as they're hot. LMAO :D

But seriously, I don't care so long as they meet my criteria. So far as preference, I prefer tomboys.
Although, I think it's a matter of personal preference.

I think guys like:
1. A girls that looks like a girl
2. Someone that doesn't take forever to get ready yet looks good in the end
3. Someone in to whatever there into (sports cars etc)
4. Someone who will respect the "Guy time" and not smother.
5. A girl that can hang with the guys and girls

But overall I think its 100% on personal preference
I know some guys who are crazy for ditsy blonde (they don't know why)
And some that Love the brunette who wears the jersey and plays madden(me)

I don't get how taking care of yourself and being feminine could be a negative thing?

They creep me out too. Going to the malls 24/7, the straight hair, the preppy Hollister clothes, the designer purse or backpack. Ugh!
Guys like girls to look like girls and act like them too. A tomboy can appeal to them, but that what their guy friends are for.

There are guys who do think that us normal people are better than Barbie Dolls. They are just taken or hard to find.
