I don't like Palestine but I like it better than Israel.
I don't particularly like the Jews I've met in my lifetime because they keep themselves too detached from the rest of society and, frankly, have all been racist bitches. I understand why they act this way, since they're never had any security and have always had enemies, but there should be a line drawn somewhere. I'm not saying all Jews are like this, I haven't met all of them, but the ones I have met are quite nasty.
I'm Iranian and my country's leaders are quite vocal about their hatred for Israel. That has nothing to do with my view of Jews, and my dislike for the ones I know comes from my own experiences with them.
In the beginning of high school I had started to become good friends with a group of Jewish girls at my school. They keep to themselves, never talk to people who aren't Jews unless they absolutely have to, and are quite nasty to others. They thought I was a Jew, and I didn't know that, and after a short while when I told them I'm Iranian, they began to ignore me and became hostile toward me. I did nothing to wrong them, I was polite and never rude until the end.

Now, I never support bloodshed, but it's not fair that 'Isreal' should come into existence out of nowhere and displace so many people who have always lived there.

But whatever. I think Isreal will win in the end because they have more powerful allies. Not that I want them to...

On a side note, there is no distinction between the delusion that is God and reality in all religions. Suicide bombings are not a way to express how worthless you believe human life is. The belief behind it is that it takes you to heaven, and God is all that exists, so it's a just cause.

I'm not religious. I hate religion with a passion. But to each their own. That was just my opinion.

Question Asker Believe me, there are no suicide bombers anymore, its was just for couple of years between 2001 and 2005 then completely stopped after that, israelis keep using that excuse for every daily crime they do, they have killed thousands in gaza, they are still stealing our lands in west bank and those aggressive settlers won't let a child sleep in peace in hebron, I don't know who would live under all that pressure. - 2 months ago

Back when they were fighting the arabs sent out their missles from schools, and playgrounds because they new Israel wouldn't attack those places. Palestinians use children as shields because they know that when there are innocent children around Israel won't attack. I think Israel is right. Just my opinion though. they should be allowed to live in peace

Question Asker How on earth, they slaughtered palestinians back in the 1940's in order to establish their "peaceful" state, why should they live in peace after doing that, and millions of palestinians are thrown everywhere in the world waiting when they'll come back to their homes that they left by force, because if they stayed they would have been slaughtered, why do they deserve peace and palestinians keep getting arrested and their homes taken from them or destroyed, or them killed everyday - 2 months ago

this is just my opinion and I'm not trying to offend anyone:
i think that israel cannot fight with a country that doesn't have appreciation for life. YOU HAVE NOTHIGN AGAINST THEM. they send out their own children as suicide bombers believing that they will be rewarded for this in heaven -rewarded for killing innocent people , in stores, buses. ect. what I'm trying to say is you can't fight a war against arabs/ palestinians because death apparently doesn't mean much to them.
Israel has tried numerous times to make peace with Palestine.. do you guys not remember gaza? Israel gave the gaza strip to Palestine in hopes of making peace with them.. but what did palestine do? they waited a little while but then they started things up again.
I definelty think Israel is right. I think that they have a right to live in peace and not be terrified of being blown up every day.

I think there will never be any winner until the both societies stop teaching that the opposite is their life-long enemies. Presently, at least thirty percent (the statistics is quite accurate I think?) of parents or older generation still teach the young and youths that Israel is bad or Palestine is bad etc. So unless they change their way of thinking, no way is there going to be a winner. The governments need to have a new generation adults that do not have this hatre. At the rate they are going... peace don't seem to be in sight at least for another thirty years. That's my opinion well :)

Question Asker You are right, but you should have looked into some details: in schools and homes, palestinians teach their children about how their lands were invaded and stolen from them, and try to make them believe in themselves and their roots, so hopefully no more lands are going to be lost... the israelis on the other hand, teach their children that the arab ethnicity as a whole should be cleansed and kicked out of the area, and the land of palestine was preserved for jews forever - 2 months ago
Question Asker Israelis teach their children how to use deadly weapons from a very young age

http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_qUFDMUpk9jE/SdGXsFyfOtI/AAAAAAAARDw/evUdL4y11m4/s400/IsraeliKids.jpg

and that in their religion you can never be friends with muslims or arabs, you should only kill these to protect yourself! jews lived amongst arabs in the arab countries since hundreds years ago and never treated like jews treat and attack palestinians nowadays, the thing is, it isn't fair
- 2 months ago
Answerer Propaganda by the government will be quite effective since they start young. Kids don't have a mind to discern, and they grow up with the hatre. It is not fair when the kids don't even have the chance to know the history properly and they are given a micro and narrow perception of the whole issue (by the govt).

Racial tolerance should be the policy that both government pursue instead. The whole idea of 'national education' on hatre should be abandoned and teach tolerance and empathy? - 2 months ago

I'm Jewish, and I believe my people deserve a place where they can practice their faith and not be persecuted for it. And I also believe the since Islam's most sacred site is Mecca then maybe everyone, Jews, Muslims, and Christians could loosen up a bit about Jerusalem and let it be a neutral state where everyone can make pilgrimage and worship in peace, all three faiths believe in the same Almighty.
At the same time, I think it was brutish how the Israelis evicted people from their homes and took over the area. Israelis should be allowed to live there if they choose without fear of their lives, but Palestinians should be able to travel freely without worrying about being shot. The thing is, no one is willing to negotiate, it's this or that and no one wants to co-exist.
I think it was a mistake to build a Jewish state in the Middle East, the Jews should have found somewhere less hostile towards them. But it's done, the Israelis are Israelis and they are there, for better or for worse. Both groups of people need to be more tolerant of each other, Israelis should not need to live in fear of being blown up by suicide bombers and Palestinians should not need to live in fear of arrest and hostile action from Israeli soldiers. I sympathize with both sides of the conflict and I'm a secular Jew.
Bottom line, people should be able to live where they want and not be judged on whether they worship at a church, a mosque, or a synagogue. We're all humans and we're all imperfect.

Question Asker I mostly agree with your modest and balanced view on the whole thing, but first, jews used to live here in peace and practice their religion alongside with christians and muslims, no one ever prevented jews from practicing or traveling or even buying homes before the state of israel existed. and currently there is not more of bombers, and we're not only afraid of being arrested, israeli settlers are living amongst us by force and making our lives feel like hell so we'd leave - 2 months ago
Answerer Yes, and the way it was before the Jews came to the Holy Land after the Holocaust is how it should be. The land did not need to be claimed as a Jewish state. If they want a Jewish state, then make it somewhere else, somewhere you aren't making other people's lives miserable. Jerusalem should be free and open to everyone who wishes to explore it and respect it. No one needs to claim it as their own. - 2 months ago
Answerer Everyone is stubborn. The Israelis will not give any ground and will not relax their rules. And most Palestinians aren't open to compromise even if the Israelis wanted to negotiate some sort of peaceful co-existence. It's because the Israelis are so frustrated with people like the President of Iran who deny the Holocaust and deny Israel's right to exist and they will not move past acts of terror committed by a small number of Muslims. - 2 months ago
Answerer Palestinians hold a grudge for how the land was seized 60 years ago. So even if Israel acknowledged its wrong-doing, there would still be bitterness and prejudice on both sides. I wish people could work to make a better future and not argue about what happened in the past. - 2 months ago
Answerer Both sides committed injustices against the others, Jews flooded the area because they had no where else to go after WWII and they wanted some place where they could belong. But they behaved selfishly, and had no regard for the people who were living there already. - 2 months ago
Question Asker I agree, the holy land is not something to be taken by force. Actually when jews first arrived they weren't only selfish, the history is still talking about massacres that jewish militia was making in every arab village they passed by, it was a real covered ethnic cleansing before they could establish Israel as we know it today, they made the world believe that it was an empty land... the bitterest thing there is no balance, we barely have guns and they have 400 nuclear bombs! - 2 months ago
Answerer The whole region lives in fear. I believe I'll be visiting in March. - 2 months ago
Question Asker Really? :D do you have family here - 2 months ago
Answerer No, it's a birthright thing, my trip is funded by a Jewish organization. they want all us American Jews to see the Holy Land, I'm going so I can take photos and because I love ancient places, the religious stuff isn't important to me. it's a free vacation, what's not to like? =D I lean more towards siding with the Palestinians anyway, I wish I could be a peace keeper, but I don't know if I could help anyone =S - 2 months ago
Question Asker Haha, well, just make sure you visit everywhere and the situation is pretty cool lately in the west bank, I think that's the only great way to understand everything on the ground, and at this time of the year weather is great, soft clouds and sunny mountains... :) you're welcome at any time... and you can be a great peace keeper just by being friendly to both sides and not act and think in a religious way ;) - 2 months ago

okey first of all I'm Lebanese
so you know our main enemy there is israel
i was with the whole palestinian thing before
and they should get their country back and go back to their country
and yes Israel shouldn't invade a country that belongs for others.
but now things have changed
i wish the palestinian people there could live in peace and get their country back
BUT when I see palestinians knowing their enemy and all
and after everything they have been threw, they are fighting each other now ! that's fu*ked up and it's a shame

i live in Sweden and I've been to usa before
and you can see that wherever there's some palestinian group there's trouble and there are fights and all
i mean why can't they just live in peace and stick to the rules
anyways back to ur question I used to be with the palestinian cause
but after they started to fight eachother
And after I saw how palestinians act outside their country
and after I saw how palestinians act in Lebanon and all, and they were the reason of a lot of trouble there
i vote D
ps: not that israel is good or anything, israel can burn in Hell it's the cause of all the sh*t happening in this world
but I'm sick of that crap
if the *Al-Aqsa* wasn't there, I wouldn't care less
but we have to get it back
Do you agree?

Question Asker Well said man, we are always looking for trouble, but what would you expect from someone that can't get their feet on their land anymore, have been thrown away, arrested, humiliated or had one beloved person who ran thru that, every palestinian family turns out to have an exclusive story of struggle and sacrifice... but you see when criminals fought over a patch of land that is gaza, each party driven with ultimate hate and seduced with money, a small experiments war-lab between the US and Iran... - 2 months ago
Answerer What I expect from people who have been thrown away, arrested, humiliated.... is to fight back, protest everyday do whatever you can a do
but be civilized
instead of fighting back and bringing a civilized image ur fighting eachother( I don't care if us or iran or whoever is behind that, God gave us all brains.u kill ur brother and the enemy is watching you !)
anyways instead of all that and instead of making gangs and sh*t
do something about it - 2 months ago
Answerer A few people in Lebanon kicked out that army in 2000
the same army that has been in ur land since 1948
these same people beat that same army in 2006
my point is
when you become as ONE
and fight for ur land and for ur rights instead of complaining about it and whining about it
u would've got ur country back long time ago! - 2 months ago
Question Asker No! lebanon isn't hezbollah and hezbollah won't ever be lebanon! hezbollah is an iranian branch that obviously does not have support from all lebanese people, and recently gained a "good" reputation in egypt and other arab countries for planting spies... I was happy when I've seen missiles dropping on haifa like rain, but still, what was really gained from the 2006 war? what did that add to lebanon? who really taught israelis lessons in the 80's, who showed them what it's like to attack Beirut... - 2 months ago
Question Asker Besides, hezbollah is supported by syria and iran, those two are now our worst enemy, just as rotten as the extremists in israel, those will do anything no matter how many souls its costs to achieve their progressive goals, and supporting arabs and freeing their lands surely isn't one of the iranian goals! how could we do anything when they took gaza from us in a such a brutal way, I mean their palestinian branch, hamas, how can anyone deal with such a disaster, who would shake hands with hamas - 2 months ago
Answerer From what you just said
all I can say now is that
Israel has allready won against palestinians
brutal victory
good luck - 2 months ago
Question Asker The situation upsets me more, it doesn't mean I'm okay with our people being apart into two bad enemies, but you should know that when palestinians were ONE in the past, current hamas leaders were all in prison cells, and some of the criminals from the opposite party weren't there as well... don't get me wrong, but I believe all arabs should unite with us, it was never only our own business, but you remember when hamas took gaza, how all arabs ran into streets celebrating... the separation! - 2 months ago
Answerer All I can say is shame on arabs
andi think you should try to look at the situation in a different way
in the end what I have learned from politics is that nobody will agree with the other person
so shame on arabs
u wanna have back what has been taken from you by force?u gotta use force
that's why us Lebanese have our heads high now
good luck - 2 months ago
Question Asker We have no force on our own my friend, we are barely 2 or 3 millions without any modern weapons or a considerable economy, Israelis are about 7 million with hundreds of billions of dollars for their cash and support from the US and other countries, armed with the scariest weapons human beings ever known - 2 months ago
