After tonight having a few quiet drinks with my mates at my place they noticed the amount of music gear I have ei: 5 guitars, a sax, electric piano, didgeridoo (Yes I am Australia. YeR Boy!) and a drum kit.. I'm not so amazingly talented.. self taught in everything and have a knack for being able to hold a tune. After messing around with the instruments the one question that got to me was. "How are you still single & don't have girls hanging off you".All I could do was shrug it off & change the subject.
What do you females reckon? the boys I drink with reckon I should be making the girls weak at the knee's. I dunno, just a thought.. time for another drink. :-)
I'm attracted to people who have creative hobbies in general, for friendships and otherwise. It's awesome though, the amount of instruments you play. It shows dedication and commitment to something you love, and a hunger for learning. That's impressive to me. Most of my friends are musicians or artists in some way, and I'm into photography. So I'm definitely intrigued by that kind of person. =]
I dig that. But, to a lot of girls, what kind of music you're playing will affect the sort of attention you're getting. For instance, lots of girls would love to be the girlfriend of a rock star, so if a guy is in a rock band that ups his attractiveness. Even if the band is crap, for some girls. On the other hand, my older brother is a music major and plays classical saxophone, and he is more dedicated to his craft than most musicians I know. He doesn't have girls climbing all over him, even though he's wicked good. His music just doesn't have that "hot" factor, I guess.
This sort of reminds me of a funny video by collegehumor... If you haven't seen it before, I think you'll get a kick out of it: link

It's the beginning of summer, but it's never too early to be thinking about the start of school. For the next couple of months you're probably going to be in the sun a lot. This can cause some...
