Vanessa Amorosi is an Australian singer, who again has fallen into the "pressures" of Hollywood's idea of beauty. not only changing her hair style and hair color, but has under gone a multiple of surgery's to make herself look "better" take a look at these pictures, of before and after, just because I am deeply sad that she has allowed pressure to make her change basically her identity.
now, I'm not saying that she looks bad, I mean, great if she is happy then good. but isn't it just sad that people go to those measures to fit in because it will supposedly boost their career. i just wish there were more celebrity out there who were comfortable with their big nose. or their buck teeth. or whatever it is that isn't classified as beautiful in celebrity world.
Because celebrities are famous they feel there is an obligation to up keep an ideal image. We become fixated on them and I think they continue to snowball a life of constant pursuit of perfection because they cannot become stagnant. Hollywood is always on the go and if you're not in, you're out and some don't want to just be okay, they need to be the show stopper. Some can deal with the pressure and some can't. I bet many cannot e.g. Lindsay Lohan, Christian Slater, Jason Mewes etc.
I don't believe Vanessa purely changed herself for her career but for more of a personal reason. I bet all the while people were telling her she was pretty she was self conscious about her nose and her lips, thighs and her butt.
It's very ironic for her to have all this surgery. I just saw a snippet of her new clip where she sings of breaking free from that sort of pressure she experienced entering the music industry at 17.
completely agree with you on this one. personally, I find celebrities more endearing if they same like normal people. this is obviously not the norm. here are a few pictures of beyonce as she changed: link i prefer the first photo of her.
I don't think I could do what she did. If I looked in the mirror and saw a new nose or a different face I would freak out. I would just be really afraid of not recognizing myself and ending up hating my new and foreign features. I'd rather be stuck with my current flaws.
She looked better before. She changed the shape of her face, so it doesn't suit her. Plenty of female celebrities get work done on their noses and lips, but she went further than that. I really don't get why.
Um, I don't know what else to say lol. Pressure is a good incentive to do something, and she sure did something.
she looked better before, the new look doesn't suit her. she doesn't look bad now but she looked better before. dark hair was more flattering and her nose didn't look so fake. but that's just how the game is, looks are apparently more important than talent and if you don't have the look down its hard for the labels to want to push you
Her new hair color and nose really don't suit her. But I guess if it makes her feel more comfortable with herself, then it doesn't really matter what I or anyone else thinks.
i don't see any big deal in changing your hair color or hair style, and yeah I don't like the idea of surgery either. What exactly did she have worked on? 0.0
I don't see anything wrong with changing the color or style either lol is what we do. haha but she had to take it too far by getting surgery. she had a nose job, cheek implants and a jaw restructure. her lips are poofy too, but it could be natural. - A month ago
And men, stop trying to change women too...Gothca! I bet everyone thought this would be another diatribe about how ladies have lost touch with what men need in a modern society.Nah.Both sexes are...
Few years back, the common assumption was that anyone who'd turn to their computer for love had to be a geeky, pathetic loser who couldn't get a date. More recently, with the Internet changing...
