Tans that are natural and from real sunbathing look nice, but not necessary. Do it for yourself, not for a guy. Some guy out there will find you attractive either way. Just don't go to a salon and get a dark tan or any tan at all. The eye covers leave such an ugly tan line.
I'm not so much a fan of the tan. It ruins the skin and if you constantly tan yourself, you will look 20 years older than you are. I have relatives, two of which are the same age. One has tanned all her life, the other has not. The one who tanned looks 60+ years old, the one who never tanned much look 40ish. They are both in their 50s.
Getting a little color is somewhat safe. Use sunBLOCK and go out for an hour at most, that will give some nice coloring without the burn.
Tanned is nice but nothing overboard or super tanned, kind of looks dirty sometimes when skin looks orange or just off, I don't mind just natural skin color either, but please don't be pale like you never go outside :].
I prefer natural beauty. Oh and if are going to get a tan in the sun then I suggest you put on some sunblock with a low spf. This will help prevent skin cancer and allow you to get a tan as well but it will take a little longer. Remember safety first.
Yea I like tans, but only to an extent. I see some girls who over-tan and they look a little fake to me. Usually if you're outside even a little bit of the day that's enough to keep away the pasty ghost look.
I don't know about you but I don't like girls who look like ghosts. Thank God I was born with a pre tanned body. If you're gonnna tan get a natural one, in the sun or a tanning booth. Those orange tans look dumb, you do not want to come out looking like kung pow orange chicken
Ok, I'm pretty fair skinned. Not pasty, but pale. I used to be pretty insecure about it, never wearing dresses or skirts because I didn't want to show off my pale legs.
One of the first thing my boyfriend ever said to me, before he was my boyfriend, was that he liked how my skin looked in the moonlight. We were on a beach and I had a bikini on, he thought my pale skinned looked wonderful. When I complain about hating being so pale, he tells me constantly he likes that I'm smart enough to know that tanning is not safe and that he thinks pale skin is one of the most beautiful things in the world.
Now he may just being saying all of that so as to not offend me, but really, is putting yourself at risk of skin cancer just to please a man really worth it?
Ok lisa, my bad you're less than that. Lol, ummm you can't get skin cancer just from walking outside, it takes prolonged exposure to the sun over a period of time to develop cancer. That being said, a tan can be healthy and what do you know it looks healthy too. But if you wanna stay in a cave be my guest. I will agree however that paler skin can be attractive if the girl has a really nice body and nicely toned thighs and calves :P - 7 months ago

Lol. By tanning outside or even in tanning booths you are over exposing yourself. I am out in the sun more often than I should be, I'm sure. > I'm big on running, hiking, camping, swimming. Very out-doorsy girl. But it doesn't take a fool to realize that by basically baking yourself in the sun, you're doing some damage. Any good doctor will tell you that it isn't safe. - 7 months ago

I would rather him buy it for me. I may not always like what my husband buys, but that's not what matters. All that matters is that he likes it and he's happy with it.
