If your friends wanted all of them to get "friendship tattoos" should I get one?

I think it would honestly depend on whether I felt like I was going to be friends with them for life, whether I would get a tattoo with them, because of the tattoo being permanent (unless you have it lasered off). I think you need to decide for yourself whether it is worth it or not for these people. Is it something that you really want to do or are you just wanting to fit in with the group? I know that feeling like a part of something can feel good, but I think it's a good idea to determine where you personally stand with getting a tattoo and what it means for you. Those are my thoughts.

Say no I'm my own person and do what I want, not what you all want.

The best way to say no to a friend is with a little humor. They will understand if they really are your friends.

Tell them I had a friend since I was in kindergarten who, after knowing him for 16 years of our lives (out of 19 at the time), abandoned me before I could say "hey, wtf?" for a woman who domineered his life

If something happens between you and those friends, that tattoo will be a purposeful and visible reminder of the unreliability of others.

If you have been considering getting ink, and want a tattoo, think about what you want! A HS mascot is a horrible idea! Maybe everyone go get tattoos of stuff that is personal to the individual. Getting ink together might be sentimental enough!

There's a curse on branding yourself with something that your friend/lover has. so I don;t thin you should .

ok any kind of tattoo like that is just not right. I mean what about ten years from now and you guys aren't even friends anymore.? I don't think it would be something that you'd want on your body for the rest of your life.why not just a friendship bracelet or something.they cost less and if anything ever happens.you can just take it off and put it aside.

I'm sorry, that is dumb. you'll be 20 and thinking that it was the stupidest idea ever. plus what if those friends stop being your friends in a few years? then you'll just have a nasty reminder of people you don't like. don't do it, especially since it was someone else's idea, not your own. let them mess up their bodies!

If you don't want it don't get it! Tattoos are painful and permanent! Getting them removed is more painful then getting them put on and it doesn't work completely. (or so I've heard) If they are your friends they will understand.

There are five of us in our little "group" and we have been talking about a friendship tattoo for a couple of years now. We all decided that we should get something with stars because a star has five points. Everyone can implement a star (big or little) in whatever tattoo that they want. For instance, I live in Texas so I'm going to get a pink "property of Texas" star. These girls are like sisters to me and you could go on for days about what if something happened but I think if you all get something that you want (even if it is just shared between all of you) then it's a good idea. Good friends are hard to come by! :-)

Do you really like the mascot enough to want it on your body for the foreseeable future?

If you do want to get something nice between you all then why not get something like a henna tattoo or the same piece of jewelery each!

I really don't think you should get one, suppose you guys stop talking then that would be a reminder all the days of your life, so bad idea.
